What You'll Experience

Steady in Your Body
Gentle, evenly distributed deep pressure helps your system shift from stress into safety. Your breath settles, tension softens, and your body feels more grounded and regulated.

Clearer in Your Mind
Predictable, grounding sensory input reduces overwhelm and supports clearer thinking. As your nervous system settles, your thoughts organize and your focus naturally returns.

Emotionally Contained
Weighted Hug creates a steady sense of internal holding, a form of wearable emotional regulation. It helps you process feelings without spiraling, shutting down, or becoming overstimulated.

Calmer Through Transitions

From waking to working to resting, deep pressure helps your nervous system stay regulated. Daily transitions become smoother and less activating, supporting consistent anxiety relief throughout the day.

Supported, Not Alone

A quiet reminder that you don’t have to hold everything by yourself. Your body receives the message: you’re safe enough to soften and thrive.

Why We Made This

I created Weighted Hug out of a deep longing for containment and holding, something my body had been asking for long before I had words for it.  I was living in a body that had learned to brace, to perform, to survive. And I wanted to feel held without needing another person to do the holding.

I started experimenting with weight, pressure, and fit, not just for comfort, but for regulation. I wanted something I could wear while working, resting, transitioning. Something that would remind my nervous system: you’re safe enough to soften.

Weighted Hug became that tool. It’s not just a vest; it’s a wearable embrace. A way to downshift from stress into safety. A way to return to breath, focus, and emotional clarity.

I believe we’re meant to live beyond survival mode. In abundance, love, and thriving. Weighted Hug is my offering toward that belief, a tool for embodied healing, designed to meet you where you are and help you come back to yourself.

Fit & Features

A practical guide to how Weighted Hug fits, feels & functions

How does it fit?
Weighted Hug sits close to the body without squeezing. Its design distributes weight evenly across the shoulders and torso for steady, grounding pressure.

What sizes are available?
The adjustable side straps and extended Velcro allow Weighted Hug to fit a wide range of bodies and clothing layers.

To determine if it will fit you, use your waist measurement as a helpful guide.
•     Minimum circumference: 26"
•     Maximum expansion: 52"

We know that no single size can hold every body. A smaller version arrives in summer 2026, with a larger size planned later that year, part of our commitment to expand access, deepen inclusion and meet more bodies where they are.

What does it feel like?
Like a steady, even pressure, the kind that helps your body exhale, grounding but not restrictive.

What’s inside it?
Non‑toxic glass bead weights sewn into secure internal channels for even distribution and durability.

How heavy is it?
Weighted Hug is 8 lb, roughly the same steady pressure as a gentle hug around your body.

Is it adjustable?
Yes. Side adjusters allow you to customize the fit to your body, clothing layers, and preferred level of closeness.

Is it washable?
For longevity, we recommend spot cleaning or handwashing in a tub or sink. Lay flat on a towel with a fan to dry.

What’s the fabric like?
Soft, durable cotton flannel that warms slightly with your body heat.

“It’s the first time I’ve felt held without needing to explain why. I didn’t know how much I needed that.”

Why Weighted Hug is Different:

• A new category: a wearable embrace
Not a blanket, not a therapy vest, Weighted Hug moves with you and supports everyday life.

• Designed for nervous system repair
Built for parasympathetic downshift, not exercise or performance.

• Visible, intentional design
Horizontal weight channels create even pressure and are part of the aesthetic, not hidden.

• Developed through deep iteration
Three years, eleven prototypes, and a hypersensitive design process to refine warmth, containment, and emotional safety.

• Natural materials with somatic integrity
High‑quality fabrics chosen for sensory comfort, emotional resonance, and long-term wear.

Nervous System Support

Weighted Hug works by applying gentle, evenly distributed pressure around your torso, the area of the body most closely tied to your sense of safety. This type of pressure activates the body’s deep‑touch receptors, sending a steady stream of “you’re safe” signals to the brain.

When these receptors are engaged, the nervous system naturally shifts out of fight‑or‑flight and into the parasympathetic state that supports calm, digestion, emotional regulation, and focus. It’s the same physiological response that makes a real hug grounding, delivered in a wearable form you can reach for anytime.
